What gearing are you guys with extended 14r's having luck with at the strip?

I'll be adding some wheelbase soon and wondering what a good starting point would be. I'm about 235 suited now, but working on that.

And I've always geared my extended bikes to finish in the top of 5th, would I have better results gearing to use all 6 gears? Or is that extra shift a waste of time?

I like using all 6 gears in the 1/4 mile. 69" 225 lb suited.

That is not problem ... Lots of zx14 drag racers but most don't weight 225 pounds .. What works for me at 150 pounds will not work for you ... I use 16/44 or 16/43 .. You can try that but i think you will need something like 16/45 or 46 at your weight .. The thing is you will not know till you try it ... I have lots of extra gears laying around that didn't work...

With 16/43 i shift 6th gear right after the finish line . That is with using my shorter 008 slick .. With the shinko 003 ultra soft ( a bit taller tire ) i can use the 16/44 and run 5th to the finsh line ..
