Overheating when engine stop

Hi everybody,
I've been having the same trouble over and over since i installed the brock's ct dual in my zx14r 6 months ago.
When i stop, and shut down the engine, it starts overheating, until it spills a lot of coolant..

To install the exahust i removed the radiator, but installed it in the correct way.

After every spill, i have to remove the entire right fairing to access the radiator, re fill it, and then add coolant to the tank in the left side.
I'm getting pretty good at this, the first few times took me a lot of time. Now in 15 minutes i do the entire process.

When the bike is at the highway the temperature is normal (around 76 celcious)
But as soon as i stop in a red light or something it starts to rise.
With the engine running the temperature rises, but without spill, as soon as i turn it off, the temperature rises above 100 celcious (water boil temperature) and the spill begins! If i turn the engine On the spilling ends.

Does anyone else have the same trouble??
I'm thinking that maybe titanium holds more heat and that is heating the radiator water. Could it be??

Thank you all!
All comments welcome. I'm running crazy with this!!
Horacio

You mostlikely put the two upper hoses on wrong where the go to the Rad cap .. One goes to the coolant tank and the other goes to the thermostat housing .. If you switched them it will puke water everytime you shut the motor off .. One has pressure all the time and that goes to the thermostat , ( lower hose on the neck ) the upper hose goes to the coolant tank ( It's the top hose just under the rad cap ..)

Hi smokin !
You know that now that you mention it, i remember that it calls my atention once with the radiator cap off, and the engine ON, that coolant was flowing through the upper hole (the one that the cap blocks).
That's wrong right??

If it is, then i made a mistake when connecting those!!

I'm going to check it, and then i'll tell you!

Thanks man!!

although i'm used to remove the fairings, it's really annoying, so i haven't done it yet, but i'm pretty sure that smokin nailed it!

One final question, can anything be broken due to my mistake?
Near 4000 miles with the hoses switched!!

You don't have to pull the body work to get to the two hoses ..

Hey Kbza, can't PM for what ever reason...

Your avatar is the same as Quater Pounder, a long time and respected poster on this forum.
Is it posisble you could change it? As some people, like me, the avatar catches the eye and you get used to checking up on how other members are doing...

Nice to see a new member and i hope that Smokin has nailed it for you
