How to clean oil form tire?





I Wheelied, cracked the oil pan, and oiled down my new tire. What is the best way to removed the oil from the tire?

Castrol Super Clean is the best oil remover/dissolver I've ever seen.

It has happened to me a few times and I always washed it with soap and it worked.

You can also use paint thinner/mineral spirits, it will remove all the oil without any damage to the rubber, In fact I use paint thinner on new tires to clean off all the mold release, mounting fluid etc. on them before hitting the road,

Dawn Dishwashing Liquid. It is excellent for breaking down oil. If it is good enough for the Pelican's, it will certainly get the oil off of your tire without leaving anything behind or damaging the rubber.

I use brake cleaner and then soap and water.
