Thanks guys.

I have recieved and i'm still getting feed back from guys that have had problems with the MPS auto shift ... My question are there problems with their standard non auto shift kill box ? Or is there another brand that works better ?

My auto shift would be hit and miss. But after I redid my grounds it shifted every time. That box is about 4-5 years old now and has been on 3 different 14s

I have a good friend that many motorcycle drag racers in this part of the country know, Gary Godwin. He took the cycle tech auto shift box off of his busa half way through the season as it wasn't shifting consistently. so i guess it isn't just the mps autoshift box with issues.

a second tiny point. was the comment about 1bad being the new owner of this forum, is that true or a bad joke?

I had to turned mine up to 160 and still would not shift 3 gear ..Added a ton of kill time and that didn't help either ..I'm at a lost here , i think i have it fixed and it works great for a while and then goes to screwing up again ..

Not yet ... Just more money i don't have to spend ..Right now i have more money in my air shifter than i want to to think about .. I'm to the point of selling the bike and be done with it ...I can't just keep going to the track one week and the shifter works great and the next week it will not work at all .. I'm really getting sick of the hole thing ..

Oh .. It was great seeing you again at BMP the other day ..

If your getting in the rev limiter it's not going to shift. I'd drop your pill down a little and try that. I'm not using an auto shifter but had my shift light set to high and was doing the same thing.

MY ECU is reflashed an extra 500 rpms .. I don't get close to that ..My bike runs the best shifting at 11200 Rev limiter is set at 11500.. I tried a 10900 chip and still does it .. But 10900 slows me way down .. Remember i'm working with a ZX14R not a Gen 1

Please forgive me if this question or observation is way off base. I thought our 14r actually redlined at 10600-10700 rpm even though the tach is showing 11k. Is that right or wrong? If its correct the 500 bump in rev limit still puts that at 11200??

Is this the same problem you were having with the Cycle-Tech auto shifter?

Usually comparisons between the gen1 and 14R cause friction on other forums. Your findings on revolutions/ET/model year would have been fuel in some circles.
