Flooded big time...

Thanks for the PM's.... Yes I am on Long Island and we got fucked hard. Just setup a generator but going to be without power for up to 3 weeks. Glad I moved the bike to my other house.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. I was afraid you guys to the north of me were going to get hit much harder than we did here on the Outer Banks. We got some flooding and lost power for a few hours but, all things considered, we escaped unharmed. I hope the best for you and am certainly glad you moved the bike. Hang in there.

It was a nasty storm, glad to hear you and your family are ok. Hopefully we won't see another one like this in another 100 years.

I just drove up to Suffolk, VA today...lots of tree and power trucks heading your way Seno.

This area does not look like anything happened.

Lots of thoughts and prayers headed your way.

Hang in there bro. My sister is in Lindenhurst so I hear you loud and clear. Hopefully the water recedes soon and you guys get power back sooner rather than later.

I'm glad I'm not in Freeport as I spent my first 24 years there. My old house was flooded for sure.

Wow, that's some rough stuff Seno.

Hang tough my friend and know that those of us who were spared such a terrible fate are thinking of you.

Thx again guys. Just got word, November 11 I will be getting power back... Better than the "up to 3 weeks initial answer" but still sucks. You never really take all the little things for granted like heat and electric until its 41 degrees outside and you have no heat or lights. Going to buy a much more fuel efficient generator instead of the 5500 "screamer" I have had roaring 12-14 hours a day that burns close to a gallon an hour, and there is no more gas locally…. All of the gas stations are either out of gas ot have no electric to pump what they do have. Gas is supposed to be "released", the coast guard held up the tankers since the buoys washed away and had to be replaced. My wife took the kids out to eat and there were red cross volunteers there eating, she bought them coffee and they started telling her stories about how bad other people have it and people who are "royally fucked" for lack of a better term..... She told me that people were being assholes to them for taking a while to get here from Georgia to help....
Well, no matter how bad you have it…. Someone else has it worse. In a week this will be a memory. Hopefully this will make me more appreciative of the little things. Thanks again guys, it is really appreciated.
