As far as stock production the only thing I can think of that would compete with the 14r is the Ariel Atom V8.

"Ariel reckons this V8 atom will go from zero to 60mph in 2.3 seconds, making this the fastest accelerating production car on the planet, on its way to a true 168mph (with “standard” ratios – available longer ones can get to 200mph). The secrets to its performance lay in the fact that it only weighs 550kg (1213lbs), has great traction thanks to sticky semi-slick tires, seamless gear shifting, and of course, 500HP"

Some would call John forces, funny car, a car it does have that name in it, and it does run 320 in 1000 foot, but I would hardly call it a street legal car! I don't know of any fully dressed street legal cars that can run with a fully dressed Street legal bike in a quarter-mile. maybe you could show us one ?

Maybe it's that way were year at, but here in Texas I haven't seen it, we ran a GTR and a 1500 hp Lamborghini and the Lamborghini was considerably faster but not as fast as a stock 14 on pump gas with a 40 shot, they have a race here in Texas 2K a couple years ago, they let bikes run with the super cars but when a stock 1000 beat them. They stopped allowing bikes to run with them. I guess it was just too embarrassing for them ?

NO, I think my facts or right, I didn't say they wouldn't let bikes run, just not in the same class with cars, "They stopped allowing bikes to run with them" I was told they would only let the bikes run in their own class, not with the cars like in the past.

And what class is this the 60-130 class?? The bikes were never allowed to race the six speed challenge or the street CAR classes. Only because they are NOT CARS! They could run the 60-130 all they wanted. It's just the P-Box that was the prize, a prize for a car not a bike, and the P-Box that was given away was from a person, not a shop or anything.
And also it's not really a class it was free for anyone with a tech card to have a try at it.... So ya your facts were wrong.

it may have started off that way . but you had to buy a tech card just for 60-130 last 4 years or so

last year 1st ever they had a purse and a tech card just for a 60-to130 no bikes i wanted to enter .. they also had a 60-130 with another tech card anything could run in for fun. they were both differant and seperate tech cards
..and you had to have a tech card for which ever one you want to run in..

you is correct on all the years before they had just the 60 to 130 seperate tech card no purse and they keep track of your time for there record book .. they said last year no time keeping just for personal fun ..

i'm telling you what the guy in charge at the track in the staging lanes for the 60 to 130 told me when i wanted to enter last year for the purse race ..

This is what I'm talking about, why wouldn't they want to keep records of cars and bikes together ? I think the answer is pretty clear if the stock 1000 embarrassed them in the record book, they certainly did want to see any bikes with some real power. we wanted to go, but when we heard they were not going to allow the bikes to run with the cars, and you had to be there on Sunday also for the finals, and we don't race on Sunday, we didn't go.

A few weeks back when we race a Lamborghini. We stopped and talked to the guy afterwards, he said they were having a race at a private airport, I asked him could bikes come. He said he didn't think so ?

I understand the problem, you have a $200,000 car, and a $15,000 bike, and the bike is wearing you out, you really don't want to see that, I understand.

no this is not the race, the race he was talking about happened on the same Saturday as grunge fest. And I think he said it was it some air feel in McKinney ?

We wanted to go to this race you're talking about, but the best I remember It was a 40% chance of rain and a 30 mph head / cross wind .

I never suggested that we could come down and run fastest time, I know there are faster bikes out there than ours. When it comes to racing. It's all about horsepower to weight .

Getting back to my original point, I don't think there's any fully dressed street legal cars that can run with a fully dressed legal street bike,in a quarter-mile.

Smokes, N/A bikes against forced induction cars? Or Forced induction bike against forced induction car? If there both turbo would the results not be the same as sea level? I can see how mile high racing on your n/a bike can end in a big hp turbo car showing you taillights.

I see forced induction vs n/a as not compairable at a mile high (turbo's have a huge advantage up here), Not that I cant stomp big hp turbo cars up here in denver on my n/a 14, but its sure a lot harder and im sure theres 9 sec street cars here just waiting to pull next to me at a light. Just has not happened yet. My stock motor 14 is capable of 9's on pump gas up here, in fact I just about got into the 9's a few weeks ago at bandimer on pump gas, but I only had 3 shots at it on a whole new setup.
