Perfect Timing

Finally found a garage close to home to store my bike. And it is perfect timing because here comes SANDY. If you are in the hurricane path stay safe out there. Hopefully the forecasters are wrong this time. We are expecting a direct hit here in Philly.

Stay safe Kofla. Im in CT. We are expecting the worse here also. Hopefully not like last year with ten days with no power.

Yes, if the forecast predictions are correct, it is going to cause a lot of damage. In my area of the city we should be ok. But, they are talking of two full days of rain, and winds all day tomorrow of 80-85 miles per hour. Be safe.

Lol, still hanging on and holding onto hope that Sandy won't cause major damage. The hurricane is about to land in Atlantic City in about an hour, with sustained winds of 90 mph. It doesn't look good.

We lost power here for a couple of hours earlier today. Back on now though. Except for the water that's probably coming in, the worst of the storm has passed us. Wind has died down and rain has stopped. Good luck to my neighbors to the north. Looks like you're going to get it worse than me this time.

Water is now 2 feet deep on the only road going back onto Colington Island where I live. The police are not letting anyone through without a jacked up pickup now. I hope it gets better by tomorrow morning when I have to go to work but I'm afraid it's going to be worse then than now. Winds aren't but about 30, maybe 35 MPH now but it's coming out of the worst possible direction for bringing the sound side flooding. My Camaro SS is on the car trailer and my Stealth TT is up on the hill/driveway. Both should be fine unless the flooding is worse than with Irene which was a direct hit on us. The eye passed directly over my house with that one.

Didn't lose power here either, but lots of my friends did. Still raining. Two days off of work, back to the grind tomorrow.

Yup, we lucked out. Some of my friends got hit hard, they are still under water and no electricity. I can honestly say we were very fortunate. Thanks.
