OK guys what it it going to run ?
This coming Thursday night we are going to have some cooler air coming our way .. It is possible that we may see DAs in the 500 foot range .. That would be the best ever air i have ever run my ZX14R in ..
I'm thinking if i'm on my game maybe mid to low 8.40s ?.. Keep in mind i have only run 8.40s twice , 8.49 and a 8.47 .. Most all my runs range from 8.50 to 8.52 , If i really screw up high 8.50s ... But these runs were in the heat .. So i would be very happy to see anything below that 8.47 run ..
Take your best guess on what the bike is going to run if we really do get the air they say is coming next week .. I really have no clue what it is going to run , hell with my luck lately it just might run 8.50s all night ..

how cool you talkin.......If its 60 degress and 40% humidity and they glue the hell out of the track with a burning hot tire i hope you get a 8.39

I'm hearing 79 in the day and 61 at night ( middle of the night ) so maybe high 60s when i'm racing .... They are saying low humidty .. For FL that would be around 40% ..

8.39 would be good I just don't think that will happen till we see some 50 deg days with sunshine to put some heat into the track .. Problem is when it get to the 50s around here they close to track do to the cold temps... When real cold fronts hit we get very high winds and they don't let the bikes and cars run in high winds.. Sucks ...

They close your track when it's gets cold? Jeeze, I did a TNT one night 2 years ago in January when it got down to 43 degrees. This was at Moroso/PBIR.

We should have good air in here next weekend as well. Highs in the 50's, lows in the 40's and maybe even some 30's over by the track. DA should be -1000 or even better as long as there's a high pressure area somewhat over us. Good luck Lee. We're shooting for a new best as well.

smokin, taking your numbers from your 8.47 pass of 2186 feet, and adjusted it to 500 feet. The computer says 8.39, Of course these are just computer numbers, but I think it's very possible. If I take wee numbers from yesterday's run 8.75 and take his 225 riders weight suited off and put someone like JT on it at let's say 135 the computer says 8.39 I think the track calculator, said he was at 150 feet. I realize these are only computer numbers, but for me they work pretty close.

Ken i believe this bike will go 8.30s ... Question is can i as the rider do it ..I know a jock like JT could pull it off .. I'm going to have to have some luck on my side because this year i have had very little seat time , top that off with the few times i have been to the track traction was been very poor .. The stars need to be inline for sure for me to pull it off ...

Isn't that the heaviest tire known to man that fits on a 14? We tried it a few track outings but slowed down using it. It's on the turbo bike now.

It's not that heavy .. But really the weight is not a problem .. Hooking the bike is .. If the power one and a shinko hook up doesn't work even if it is lighter what good is it ? Keep in mind what i'm working with here , the track is not all that great for hook because of 200+ front wheel drive fart can hondas .. We no longer get slick tire cars at the track .. They have cut the VHT in half to save money .. So if it takes a heavier slick tire to get down the track ( if it is any heavier ) that is what i'm going to have to use ..

That is ok ... In the big picture it doesn't matter .. 1bad , (You know the guy that runs bikeland now) well he doesn't like me posting videos or time tickets anyway .. So if i go faster i'm not going post anything ...
