GADSON AND 2012 14R TURBO RUNS 7.80 194 AND WINS AGAIN! This past weekend at Mikes Mace Big Bucks Bonanza, my RST ZX14R put dow some real impressive numbers on my way to a win over Joey Gladstone after Jim Gilnack at Competition CNC wanted to try and maximize our performance by porting the cylinder head so we could lower the boost.
Tell me what you think?? ____________

A very impressive run but the most interesting thing about this video is the way the front of the fairing gapes open at speed. Keep an eye on that hose as the bike picks up speed, around 1 minute in.
I guess I noticed this because a friend of mine, who runs LSR, had the lower fairing of his 'Busa turbo split at over 200 and it nearly had him off.

isnt the head ported from the factory already? sometimes more isnt good ,first season with a hand full of passes and very good results ur readdy to screw it up,Chris built u a very fast bike and reliable, how about more tweeking in suspen, gearing, tuning, and go out and kik some more asses next season. all im sayin is give wat u have a chance before u go into the motor and have to go back to square 1.

I've been racing turbos for years and its a fact that turbo's is forced induction and if that induction cannot expend the volume of air being fed than your not able to use the boost your feeding it, especially on the exhaust side where the 14 is lacking.
I think its clear from the performance since installing the head that we did something right!

Back half can be deceiving, if I rolled out slow and didn't really hit it to the eighth mile, I could easily run a 100 mph back half mph. the faster you go, the harder it is to put down impressive back half numbers because you have less time to build mph.
congratulations to Ricky, the win tells the whole story.

Correct, even though Ricky didn't have as much back half mph, he still went a 2.65 backhalf et, compared to the other guys 2.85.

Oops, I calculated the wrong ticket, Rickey had a 2.60 compared to the other guys 2.68 on his 7.80 pass. Still a better ET without picking up as much MPH.

Back half doesn't matter if still lose the race. Can you imagine someone protesting becuase his back-half mph was higher? Neither can I- OOOPS, my mistake- I almost forgot the 1550 hp "roll racers" on the internet, with their all male cheerleading squad...
I guess it's important to them..Even though they struggle to get out of the 9's in the 1/4 mile.
