what tires do you run at Texas Mile?

I'm looking at Michelin Power one DOT race tires (A, B, or C compound??) and wondering what you guys run at your high speed events in the short track (1.5 mile or under). I wish it were possible to have a streetable race tire but was told they don't heat up fast enough. Michelins seem to be what people are going with. I was told to go with a 200 soft rear. That seems to be a bit wide. What do think?

Thanks for any advise. I should have some photos soon...

I ran Supercorsas out there with no issues.

Avoid the softest compound possible. Soft/medium or medium compounds would be a better bet.

You dind't mention your HP, Wheelbase, etc.

No need for race versions of the Power One, for LSR use. 2CT is the ticket.

Thanks Shane. I just ordered tires not more than 5 minutes before reading your post. I ordered a DOT race Power One medium compound rear 190/55/17 and a DOT race Power Cup soft compound front 120/70/17. I paid $369.00 with shipping. I bet that will be fine (it better be at 200mph).

Thanks, I would have probably ordered the standard Power Ones if I would have read you post 10 minutes ago!
