Finally hit the 5's (1/8 mile)
Well after five months of trying, I finally broke into the 5's. I made eight passes tonight and the first six were all 6.0X's. Seventh pass I ran a 5.98 @ 118 with a 1.50 60ft then backed it up with a 5.95 @ 119 with another 1.50 60ft. We had some cooler weather come in yesterday and I'm sure it had alot to do with my quicker times. Sure did feel good to look down and see 5.95 on that time slip though. Just figured I would pass it on. Thanks for all the tips ya'll gave over the past few months.

Great job. That's a big milestone around here. I don't know if your swingarm will allow you to pull the axle back any more but I can assure you it'll go quicker if you go out to 68-70". We tried for a whole year at 65-66" wheelbase before finally giving in and going 70+. Made a world of difference for us. Dave (160 suited) has now hit a 1.29 60' and Sam (240 suited) has run a 1.34. Just something to consider.

Thanks. Yea, 5.80's don't seem as out of reach as they did before.

Thanks. I just have extensions on my factory swingarm so I can only get about another inch out of it which would put me about 67". Looks like it's time for an aftermarket swingarm.
