sorry to hear that but your ok though. i have done the same thing on my 07 6r. i was taking a turn and hit some loose gravel and sand and bike slid under. i was able to control it for a bit and i kept turning the same direction and there was a gas station at the corner i was taking. next thing i knew i was heading straight towards the gas pumps. i then just threw the bike down as i jumped off. just barely missed pumps.

You must of been a harley rider, that's the technique they teach them seeing as they got no brakes anyway.

Not as bad as I thought it was the mount not the tab on the motor 2 bolts and the mount came off and pulser cover and lower fairing

zixxer, not a harley rider. always been rice burners for me. everything happened so fast i couldnt brake in time to stop or get the bike straight. it was either be one the bike when it hits the pumps or be off it. i chose jump off. it happened as fast like the time i fell while riding in the rain. guess it wasnt a good idea to wear the tire to the threads and keep using it. haha

Good to see Colt. That cover is so thin & shit metal it barely holds together on its own. Just a caution when mine went down it busted up & pieces went in the engine. I had to remove the pan & flushed out the motor with mineral spirits to get it all out, pain in the ass but I got a bunch out.

Covers the timing pulser and timing chain. But when any thing goes in a motor it's safe to flush it all out.
I blew up a cam bucket and striped the motor down and cleaned every thing.
