None of the bikes from Cali go fast... Except madness. And his was imported from Mexico.

It means that it was CARB approved. (California Air Resources Board) and has a carbon cannister to filter gas fumes and then run them through the fuel intakes again. I believe that is about it. Everything is bigger and faster in Texas :-)

From Kawasaki site;
Look at your warranty registration card, if the model # ends with an "L" , it is a California model. If you go to Kawasaki web site and look for parts diagrams you will find this note when it prompts you to choose which model you have,49 state or cali? Hope this helps.

Congratulations Speedy, CA indicates it's a Canadian model. Which of course means you got the hot ECU program with added timing, a higher redline and no speed restriction. They build them especially for us cause were all crazy ba$#$@^* up here!!!
