Florida riders only....Love bugs Inside Air Intake

I think I killed all the love bugs in Lake County yesterday morning..when cleaning the bike later I looked into the front air intake and lots of bugs are now stuck dead inside the leading and side ducts going toward air cleaner.

Any ideas on how to get those dead bugs that are melted against the plastic out of the air intakes?

Remove them? You gain 1 hp for every dead one in there. Besides if you really live in Fl. you know threy wash away in the rain.

knock them loose and let the air filter catch them, that's what it's for.

That is...if you are not one of those that actually removes the filter to get more "power".

I thought May was the month fro love bugs. They really do stink when you get a little vintage on the carcass.

Wow, I'm only about 30 miles from fl and we only have them for about 2 months out of the year...
Just keep riding and put a dent in the love bug population for us.

I am not far from you in Orange County, but not that bad where I am. Had tons of them in South Georgia and South Carolina last week when I was on the road, but by comparison alot less than in past years here. Guess I have just been lucky.

That's when they were bad here. Practically gone now.
I'm wandering where those little bastards hide the other 10 months out of the year...

Use some rocket fuel (aka: hydrogen peroxide ), spray it on, let sit for a few minutes,
the Love Bugs should just wipe off.
I've used it on my cars and my bike, it doesn't hurt any surfaces whatsoever!
