What tires for ZX14R top speed run at Texas Mile?????
Hi,
I was wondering what tires you guys would run at the texas mile? I was contemplating the Conti Race Attack or the Michelin Pilot One DOT Race "C" hard rubber tires. At 200-210 mph would that be sufficient with no shaving?? I have no experience with tires or going that fast. I am going to install them on BST wheels, Galfer Wave Rotors, Ti bolts etc..... Also would you know which ones are lightest????
Anyone know a good tire installer on the west coast that has experience with carbon wheels??? I'm in Arizona.
Thanks.

I've ran several different brand tires in the last 10+ years of LSR and currently use the Pilot Power 2CT's.
I run the the speed range you're talking about with no issues. Usually folks shave the tires for ultra long high speed distances like Bonneville or have mega power bikes.
I also run BST's and the PP 2CT's work great for me. You'll cover the mile in 25 seconds or so, chunking is usually never a problem at the 210mph range in this short of a distance.
