Good MR12 is definitely a boost. Sometimes I wonder if the fuel might stratify from sitting, which could be easily cured.

Btw, Lee...bring it to MIR in the Fall. You will be in mid 8.30's...we can see -1000DA or better here, with perfect track prep.

I'm betting it was old ( from the dust on the can ) I still have the can in my shop and i'm going to check the date on it .. I have been using it in my lawn mower , seemed a waste to toss out a 130 dollars of fuel ..

I was told it was a flag start race .. Meaning the pre stage bulbs are on but no tree count down ..You have to wait for the flag man to drop the flag not the tree ... So that acounts for his slow R/T ...I'm told this young man is real sharp on the tree..

Smokin: As I've said before, I'm a beginner yet to have my first race. Do I understand correctly that running race fuel doesn't necessarily make the machine go faster? It makes the octane higher and allows the engine to be tuned for more power?? Without proper tuning for the fuel being used, no faster?? Chris Jones is dyno tuning my Concours 14 using water injection as well as C16. That will be only for the upper rpm range/high boost for top speed mile runs. Will use water/methanol injection for drag racing. Will use water injection for the street tune with a 2 stage boost controller set around 9 psi to produce max 250 hp. It can be set higher but only if I determine the bike is street rideable at higher hp. I think, for street, it will be boosted from a 5 lb. spring. Need to learn throttle/clutch control and revs at launch, front wheel lift and rear wheel spin. Don't know how much difference there will be between the chain driven ZX14 and the drive shaft driven C14? There will be some power loss to the rear wheel through the drive shaft. Also don't know how reliable the drive shaft will be with the increase of power. The C14s and my extra weight are also factors. Chris is putting finishing touches on my bike now. Hope to have it next weekend. Hope you are feeling better.

On a stock motor the lowest octane you can use WITH OUT spark knock will yeld the best power .. But in your case with a turbo at high boost you need as much octane you can get .. You can run 93 octane at low boost if tunned right , i'm sure Chris Jones tunned it right ..
As far as your drive shaft , stock wheel base and not being able to use full power on take off i'm sure it will hold up just fine .. You are the only one to try this so you will be the first one to find out if it will hold up .. It's going to be a learning curve getting a C14 to be a drag bike .. If the bike can be lowered with lower links like the zx14 that will help , a front end strap is going to be a must at stock wheel base .. The power loss between a chain and shaft on these new bikes is not as much as it was in the old days of shaft drive .. I don't think with a turbo you need to think about that too much ..
I remember seeing a video of Ricky Gadson on a C14 at the track ..He was having trouble keeping the front end down .. Just think about your C14 with a turbo trying to keep the front end down .. I believe spinning is going to be the least of your problems . In fact a little tire spin might help ..
I think a turbo C14 will do very good in Land speed racing but not so good at drag racing .. I think your bike will be kind of like drag racing a new Vmax , only with more power .. Heavy bike with upright seating and not being able to change gear ratios may hold the bike back .. But you never know it may be faster than we think .. One thing for sure it is going to be a blast finding out ..

HOW is it gonna be good at LSR when it tops out gearing at lets say 180mph and bangs on the limitor the other 1/2 mile .. guess this is the bar http://www.baggersmag.com/events/1010_hrbp_worlds_fastest_bagger_title_owned_byt_man_performance_183mph/photo_01.html

I didn't say it would set records .. In land speed racing he doesn't have to take off like a drag bike .. That would make LSR easier than drag racing for him ..

180 mph in a 1/2 mile is not bill warner stuff ..my fat ass on 835lbs of bike and rider total weight could hit 170mph in a 1/4 mile with a cycle-logic stage 1 kit .. and he's got a chris jones set-up..

you must have really gotten some bad gas because justin's gen1 with brocks LSR map absolutely loves mr12. What map were you running when you were using it?

Is the mrx01 like mr12 (you have to get it mapped) or like mr9 (will work on pump gas map)?
