Clutches on my 14R? what is it
first off Mods...lowered, +10 mac arm,16 43 gearing, air shifter, compressor, PC5, Brocks full short CT.
Well i havnt raced it at the track for about a month. The last couple of times i raced i noticed i lost about 5 mph just thought it was the heat. Lately I have been riding it on the street and it works great in 1st gear, but when i shift to 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th gears, at about 8000 rpm under full throttle the engine and rpms act like bad clutches but dont do this in first gear like typical clutches when they go out. Its in full power mode with the traction control off, but i noticed it doing this and the KTC box flashes and and the bars increase. Its been doing this for about a month now so if it was the clutches they should have went a long time ago. Ive played with the suspesion, different tires no difference, road surfaces dont change it im kinda lost at this point. Any ideas would be great!

Could be clutches , Could be tire spin in top end .. Mine spins the tire pretty easy on the top end of the track if there is no grove or i get out of the grove .. In either case i would get Brocks spring and shim kit .. My clutches were flat worn out but with the extra shims and springs it was still holding fine ... As the clutch wore down i'd just add more shims .. When i put in new clutches i removed some of the shims .. As this clutch wears down i will add more shims .. About the T/C flashing i can't say , i don't look down at it while making a pass down the track .. It could be doing what yours is doing but i haven't seen it ..

Clutch that's what mine does it an 08 still got power in 1 and the rest jump rpm after 7-8 grand I don't have the money too fix it yet but took it too a well trusted shop guys says its clutch and he has put a few in for me in my younger days if it turns out not too be clutch let me know

MY 07 was the same set up it never acted like this when the clutches went on that it was very noticable in all gears and would not move at all under heavy acceleration. I did notice if im riding when shifing normally when i let the clutch out when its almost out about the last 1/4 inch feels like it pops, maybe something groved in the basket? I need to take it apart to inspect but just wanted to see if the ECU was causing any of this wasnt sure.
