drag help?

what mph? took the 14 to the strip last week. i am 215
lbs unsuited. i was running 9.95 -9.90 @139 on a 1.62-1.65 short times. all stock, lowered and strapped. 16 tooth cs. stock rear. usually 113 114 in the 1/8. i ran three 1.60 shorts but it was bracket racing, so as soon as i caught the other guy i lifted..so not sure but prob 9.80s no pipe or pc yet. mph seems down to me. what are some times and mph from similar setup?

also on gearing, i am using 16 cs and stock rear. on a good short time (for me) 1.60-1.62)
i have some room left before redline going thru traps. is there advantage of a coupl more teeth in rear or does stock 14 hp fall off before redline?

any tips on getting into 1.5 short times.. leaving about 5k sliding a bit and trying to get clutch out asap and wot at same time..

a buddy watched 1.60 run and said it looked great. toted front wheel about 1 ft all the way until 2nd gear shitf...any help is appreciated... should have pipe and pc5 before next outing.

also should i be shifting at redline or does power fall off before?

Just try the pipe and pc5(with a good map) first. If you can handle the power (off the line) those mods give you; than think about adding teeth to the rear.

Yes, the zx14 will make power to redline with a good map.

With the pipe and pc, your mph should increase.

Good luck and keep us posted,

ok thanks. are 1.60 - 114/140 on par with 215 unsuited?
weather was mid 80s not sure about humidity.
on side note, i was in my full roadrace leathers.. they are crazy heavy. i would guess 235 suited.
