Sadly, nothing you can do will absolutely prevent theft. If someone is hell bent on stealing it.. and has the skillz to pull it off.. your bike is gone. Best thing you can do is keep enough insurance on it to cover the loss should it happen. Also, don't keep anything you "can't lose" with the bike.. like your wallet, luckiest charm, your favorite bong, your dog, your business server's data backups etc. You get the point.
Personally, if my bike gets stolen.. I hope to never see it again.. I probably won't want it after it's been "theft recovered". They are just never the same.. ya know?

I live in an apartment with a back porch where i put my bike so you cant see it nt just driving through. My bike is insured so im not too worried bout it being stolen the only thing id be pissed about would be the exhaust system, its the brocks blue CT single and they dont make those anymore.

Last year Rickey's bike was stolen, http://www.dragbike.com/dbnews/templates/fast1320_z13.aspx?articleid=6721&zoneid=13 and everyone in the dragracing world knows who he is. Like MotoCycho said, "there's nothing you can do to prevent theft. If someone is hell bent on stealing it.. and has the skillz to pull it off."
Make sure you have enough insurance to cover your loss.

You can purchase a small hidden GPS tracker for less than $100 with its own power source. Stolen? cops will be at their garage within the hour...

In addition to what the others have said, a good lockable cover can help. Fortunately, I do have a garage now in Florida, but I am from Philly and up there everyone I know with bikes keeps their stuff covered up, chained to a heavy object and alarmed if it has to be outside. As was said before, a good insurance policy is really your best protection.
Good luck,

I have 2 places, one of them I am forced to leave my bike out....It is always covered so no one knows what it is unless I'm working on it. Yes, I am worried about it being stolen so I did evererything I possibly could to deter them: alarm with proximity sensor and pager, xena disc lock for the front, ny kryptonite chain & lock through the rear and cemented into the driveway with rebar through it.... Besides having full coverage there is not much more I could do, it's only a bike after all, but I don't want to leave it on a platter for them.

I only worry about my bike being stolen when I am out somewhere with it and its out of my sight, otherwise its safe in the garage. My feeling is I pay HUGE $$$$ for insurance and if it does get stolen I guess I get a 2013 on Progressive!

let me tell you a little story happened at car dealership where i work few days ago..
we found out one of the new cars we have is missing.. make the long story short, some one grabbed the key was left out in of the sales offices in showroom , the same nite few hours after closing they broke the back gate and stole the car!! the camera showed everything but not clear enough to recognize the people who did it..
if they wanted bad enough they find a way to steal the bike.
my neighbors 30k chopper got stolen from his garage in daylite last year..

I have full coverage on the 14R. When the 07 turbo14 is back together soon, it will have full coverage also. I go through State Farm because they will cover the turbo and all the add ons for $35 a month. They took photos of the turbo bike which gives me some piece of mind. A bike thief is the lowest form of scum.

Had my '06 14 stolen back in May 2011 from my garage in one of the lowest crime neighborhoods in OK...cleaned out all my computer electronics too. Thieving people will find a way, make sure you have a GPS tracker for peace of mind...full coverage insurance is a must too.

If you get a metal foil lined cover for the bike the GPS trackers are pointless. Tracking ability is gone once you cover in metal like aluminum foil. Thats also why trackers that are located inside Railroad containers do not work. The trackers are always located on the outside of those trailers.
Just food for thought.

When I was in my apartment, they offered to install an anchor in the cement to chain it to if I purchased the anchor. Like others have said, it won't stop a determined thief.... but may give you a little peace of mind and deter most.

It's locked in my garage with my car blocking the door. When I go riding it's in my sight ALLWAYS.When I get gas I use my debit card.So it would be hard to steal it.It's paid for but I kept theft on it.If I did park it to eat two guys could pick it up and throw it in a truck. Then I don't want to see it again.Down payment on a 2012 ZX-14R.

No one wants to fork out big $ for insurance, but given that you own the bike outright, think of it as protecting that investment. Doing so is exactly why I got full coverage on mine, No chance someone rips me off and I am stuck out $15K and...the bike. Wouldn't you be more upset if you had to replace the bike with no insurance check in hand. Btw get "replacement cost" coverage when you do buy that policy.
Good luck.
