bike is shutting off what is the problem

I had got in a accident months back, and all of sudden my bike will shut off during the middle of rides, if not it wil do the hurk & jerk then shut it off. Idk what the problem is and not wanting to have to go to the dealership for them to rip me off. Any1 else had this problem? When it gots off the oil light comes on. Ive checked the oil, and there is more than enough in there. Its frustrating. If i yank hard on the throttle it will act up or go through a sudden cool area it acts up. Any1 had a problem relative to this or signs of this. Plz send infor to help out! Before all this starting happening my idle rpms adjusted on their own then went back to normal? Does this have anything to do with it?

need more detail.. what kind of mods you have on the bike.. does it idle ok.. looks like a short somewhere.. battery connection, if you have pc check the connection, tip over switch, kickstand sensor.. these are pretty simple stuff you can check..
you said it has more than enough oil?? do you mean too much oil.. check the level.. too much oil is not a good thing..

It got hit, but ive had it checked since then. Just rash on the ride side(since been replaced) I will check the kick stand sensor. If i down shift in high rpms it will cause it to jerk, and the boggs down then dies. Im going to check the pc connection. Basically a pc3, bmc filter, and tsukigi cannon exhaust. Idk what would cause the bike to shut off. & when it does I have to wait to 2-5 minutes for it to sit..

Most coughing, spluttering and cutting out's seem to have been a bad earth, partiulary with the PC3's.
Double check the ground. Plenty of links from experts knowing the best place for ground with those things.

But of course could be other things in shawnski' list - note: Battery Connection and PC connection...
