Went to the track last night and tried to figure out how to launch her in the boost. Have ridden turbo bikes but never launched one. It seems like 8-9k is getting it off the line in boost but I have got to learn the throttle roll timing as I am a little slow with it. First two passes(like leaving a stop sign) netted 158mph traps but the last two were 8.90's but only 154 and 151mph. It started nosing over at the big end but the front halfs were all 128mph. Maybe a little boost leak developed or something in the tank venting.

Very strange, I wonder what would cause the loss of power on the big end? It looked like it pulled very strong coming out of the gate.

That was the problem! Took on test ride (private road in Mexico) through 6th and pulled hard and clean.
There is a bullet shaped brass piston in the cap that was stuck in the up position into the vent hole. Lots of oxidation in there where it slides.

I dont think its gonna be too hard to figure. The initial clutch setup is probably close to spot-on.

Only 5.71 right now. The 60ft was a mere 1.500 in the boost at 9k rpm. I was thinking this thing will probably be running low 5.60's when the 60fts come down in the 1.4's. You know, something like what you run without a $6k power adder.lol

Conditions were great. Had a couple of small spins down track on the shifts. The first couple passes drove through the clutch pretty easy but netted 160mph traps. Shimmed the springs some more and it was holding fairly well. Just gotta throw more loud handle at her earlier..

Those numbers aren't that bad considering that low boost and added weight. You have numbers to compare with now on your next trip to the track.

Bike was moving last night, it was cool being at 1/4 mile marker and watching it come through the traps at 160 mph, that turbo sounds sweet at those speeds.
