Is 12,999 plus tax tag ect good for a new zx14r?

I'm sure this question has been asked before but search didn't work very good
But this is in Florida it's a 2012 blue and they said 12999 plus tax tag
Title is best they can do does that sound fair? They are giving me about
7000 for my 09 zx14 also I can keep my pazzo levers and tinted windscreen
Because they will fit the new bike. Also the two brothers exhaust so I can sell it
Sounds fair to me but what do you guys think? Thanks

Well I've been haggling with them for 2 days and they say that's the
Best they can do, why do think it's possible to go lower? Maybe I should
Call and say 12500 and I'll take it

Walk away & wait for them to call you with a better offer. They will if they want to sell it.

I think $7,000 is a good trade in offer for yours, but prices for the 2012 will drop when the new models arrive to the dealerships. They need to make room in the floor for the new bikes.

Dealer cost is about 12800 from my research.. keep in mind I don't have hard proof on this number and I'd be happy to be enlightened on their cost as an absolute.. but 12795 is what i have come up with for a non SE 2012 14r from a few unsubstantiated sources.

$12,999.. Take it!

always look at your drive out price.. not just what the selling the bike for?? alot of dealers add on bunch crap fees..
7000 for trade in is a good number and remember you save on tax when you trade.. make sure you don't get screwed on that..

In 2-3 months the 13's will be out... Not sure if a couple hundred bucks is worth it to wait... You are always better off selling your bike privately, with that being said.... If you're not in a rush, sell your bike privately... then go with cash in hand. The only advantage to trading it in is if they give you 7K for trade, it is like 7K +tax off the price of a new bike. You can get $8,200 + for your bike going by EBay & local prices..... But do you want to deal with people coming over and wanting to ride your bike, I have no patience for that so personally I would give it to the dealer and wash your hands of it.... Did you consider having them throw in an extended warranty instead of lowering the price or having them give you more for your trade in? Good luck whatever you decide.

These guys are the very best deal I could find,it's in Texas, they're a high volume dealer.
They quoted me 11,900 OTD. I'm in Texas, used the price to beat my local dealer over the head with. I got a set of TBR slip-on's mounted,a ZG windscreen and the GMPP extended warranty for 4 yrs. and was still 200 less than they're first price. 12,800 is rock bottom for most dealers.

You guys telling him to wait make it sound like they are gonna sell a 2013 for the same money. Doubt it. There's likely to be a model year price increase, plus they have no reason to heavily disocunt a 2013. I paid 300 more that what your being quoted, and thought it was a good deal (in may).

If you want the bike, and think the price is fair (it is), then buy it. IF HOWEVER, you want to possibly get the 2013 colors (if different), and a chance at ABS and dont mind paying more, then wait. Its that simple.
