Maybe your local dealership have information about shipping companies. Have you tried calling them?

Good luck, hope you live in a big city. I shipped a bike in Feb from the middle of nowhere, NM, and it took over a month and $700 to NJ. Called several companies and had many missed pickup dates before I got it off. I will probably never do that again.

We had the turbo14 purchased from 1bad shipped here from Texas. Good price and prompt service. Arrived within a couple of hours of the projected time. Could not have asked for a better transaction but I'm sure 1bad helped tremendously on his end securing the bike, etc.

I have shipped two vehicles twice during this past year, one away to Cali and one to here from Kansas. The companies you call to ship (5Star, etc.) are merely brokers who take your deposit and find any transporter to haul your car/bike at the price they offer them. It is then that you are at the mercy of the transporter to have a good or bad experience. Shipped my son's truck to Cali by 5star and it was a perfect transaction.
When I set up the pick-up of my car in Kansas at a stipulated time and date with 5star, the contract was dropped by 2 different transporters because of bullshit reasons (mechanical breakdowns) delaying getting the car picked up by more than a week. The real reasons were they had more profitable or mileage convenient hauls come up while enroute to get mine. The idiot liar that finally brought the car wasted my wife and I's whole weekend waiting for him to show up at the promised time with the car. He does call her Monday and drops the car off on the side of a highway instead of at our home. The car showed up on the last acceptable day of the contract. Bad fckn experience that time.
Anyway, enough of that rant. Sold my 78 Z1R to a guy in Conn and he set it up with Uship. It was about $600 and he said it was a great transaction.

Actually Five Star is not a broker.More like a husband and wife team. But they did what they promised,on time, for a fair price

Mike, mine was not 5star it was 7star. I'm looking at the invoice. Robert's post must have made me think 5star. I slammed the wrong folks. Sorry.

5 star sent us pics of the vehicle they were going to be using and everything. They are not brokers but the actual people that you will see upon delivery of said car/bike/etc. I'll certainly try to use them from now on when I buy another bike that needs to be shipped here and I'm looking right now.
