Well, I'd say this much...an S1000RR has been 200 mph in the mile. Our 14R has been 206+. So, in the realm of pure speed, I think the 14R more than has the BMW covered. Ours is about 18 hp up on Brock's stock motor BMW, on his dyno, last I checked. Not sure of the full specs of the BMW that went 200 at Maxton.

[qoute]whats this zx14r excuse http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXjR6JVeXWs
I'm not sure the guy would need an excuse, but it looked like the backend broke loose to me. It's racing...I give mad props to anyone who attempts to run fast, that shit isn't easy...a very humbling experience for me.
Throw some gravel on the track and remove all the lights and it would look like Desert Demons in El Paso.

I've been wanting to know the answer to this as well. As of recent, our good friend JonVon has graciously loaned me his bone stock 2012 14R, and I own a S1000RR which is all stock as well. I'm gonna rent our local track out for a couple hours to get some comparison numbers. I'm not bias towards one bike, I love em' both. Our track sits at 8500' DA as I speak, so the numbers won't be very impressive. Stay tuned!
