I'm sure that would be a better race for y'all, but we have street legal street bikes. We don't have all-out grudge bike. But if you all have anything in Houston that street legal. That is, will pass state inspection. We be interested in a race. after all, we are talking about stock bikes aren't we?

and it won't go 8.42.

i just don't think B. Mitchan is J.T. when it comes to riding otherwise he'd be THE RIDER and J.T would be stand by.. where was the 8.58 run at thats a great number..

Squatch, at SA Raceway- and the bike is "set up" but did not have that mph. (161)

He is on FB and I remember the vid being posted up. Bike is usually in the. 60's.

you ever raced SAR .. I BET theres not a member or dragracer on the planet that ran faster at SAR than at ATCO. so anybody wit just half a brain would not try to set a record at SAR .You would wait til better than perfect air and use 1 them east coast tracks ...

there's an old song by Simon and Garfunkel that says "people see what they want to see. And they disregard the rest"

So for those folks hear some facts!

BMW 1000 RR 450 # curb weight divided by horsepower 183 = 2.45 pounds per horsepower.
Cubic inches 61.3 divided by 450 pounds = 7.34 pounds per cubic inch.

ZX14R 685 curb weight divided by horsepower 195 = 3.51 pounds per horsepower.
cubic inches 88.4 divided by 685 pounds = 7.75 pounds per cubic inch.

as you can see, the 14 carries over 1 pound per horsepower more than the BMW and .30 more in cubic inch to weight. it always amazes me when people say, I just have a 1000, and you have that big 1400 LOL.

on paper, the BMW should outrun the 14, but that's not what I'm seeing at the track. And until Brocks does a all-out test on the 14 like he did on the BMW those numbers should not be used against the 14R.

Rich Craft1, your idea has merit; but a 14r only weighs 584, not 684.

it looks like I'm the one that needs to get the facts right, so I'll try this again.

BMW 1000 RR 450 # curb weight divided by horsepower 183 = 2.45 pounds per horsepower.
Cubic inches 61.3 divided by 450 pounds = 7.34 pounds per cubic inch.

ZX14R 584 curb weight divided by horsepower 195 = 2.99 pounds per horsepower.
cubic inches 88.4 divided by 584 pounds = 6.60 pounds per cubic inch.

the BMW does make more horsepower per cubic inch at 0.74. and has a 0.54 horsepower to weight advantage. like I said own paper, It should outrun the 14R but I haven't seen it. as a matter of fact, I haven't seen many BMWs on the street or at the track! maybe it's not horsepower to weight, maybe it's $$$ to hp.

while you're trying to figure the last post out, maybe you could tell me why JT bought a new 14R, instead of a BMW. And it is reported that he has gone 8.81 stock wheel base. Maybe you could show me a BMW that can do that.

let me school you a little bit, RG 7.88 run was at Dallas, and it was 105° that day. So the 14R is way ahead of the BMW, obviously details don't matter like lightweight Best wheels and 40 pound latter rider! yeah, I'm sure those things wouldn't make any difference at all. Right.

So until you show me a BMW that can go quicker Then 7.88 the Kawasaki is still king of the street.
