I think most guys here don't understand why the 8.42 busa quietly "went away"....
Any "big name" that was to have something to do with it won't even talk about it... For good reason.
It will never be duplicated(backed up). Ever..

Squatch- you are the only one left, aside from a few on psychobike who don't know what help the bike(and rider) had.
That's why it can't be done again and that it NEVER counted..
That's why NO ONE else is defending that claim.
Your niegbor B. Mitchan has the quickest stock motor , 68" hand clutch long busa in the country and it ran a bst of 8.58
and it won't go 8.42.

Seems to me that you can not handle the truth!
That busa was not modified any more than say smokins zx14
anyway as it stands, for a stock motor, that is better than anyone on a stock motor zx 14 has done so far or if you wish to disagree state some facts instead of riddles and assumptions

kawanator, the reason you haven't seen this race, it's because there is just not any BMWs out there. dollars per horsepower they're not a good buy compared to the 14. If they had the muscle they think they do, You would see them at the track, they're just not there! they are MIA

My buddy has two S1000RR's a 2010 and 2011. I dont know about drag racing from a stand still but on the street he never can hang with the 14R in any gear... for what its worth.

i just don't think B. Mitchan is J.T. when it comes to riding otherwise he'd be THE RIDER and J.T would be stand by.. where was the 8.58 run at thats a great number..

you can always tell the difference between the people who actually race! and the people who race Their keyboard, some of those folks are pretty quick. LOL

The owner of that Busa said it weighted 470 pounds .. I can tell you my zx14r is NOT 470 pounds .. My bike is right at 520 pounds .. He also stated is was on race fuel of some type .. Mine was on 89 shell pump gas .. I'm pretty sure mine will run better that my 8.47 once we get some better air this Fall or Winter .. Will it go better that 8.41 ? Maybe , maybe not .. But one fact is i did out MPH that busas MPH !!! 162.60
