Yep, I was there today, later this week I'll be posting the video. Just got home a few minutes ago from Maryland. It was a rain out yesterday, but today it was a blast.

Anyone know what they bumped the power up to in order to run these numbers. It certainly wasn't the 320 they were making right after the completion of the build. I'm wondering if it was over 500 to run this.

Nowhere near 500 hp to run that! Bet it was less than 20psi and less than 400hp

To say the least, I was pleased to go to the first event w/ Rickey's zx14r turbo and go into the sevens on the first hit. 7.98 to be exact. Im not forecasting, but that bike is far from peaked at a 7.90@187. Our testing has been very limited with that bike. Those numbers were accomplished with a simple single stage boost controller that I built. That unit works great, however we were faced with not having enough in the front half of the track, and too much in the back half to be rideable, or too much in the front, and not enough in the back. In fact, that was the case with the 7.90 pass. Rickey actually was looking for more power after 4th gear. The Jones Performance Turbo system is lacking by no means for power, it is just a case of controlling it in a usable fashion. We will be installing an AMS 1000 within a few days and begin testing. It has been a pleasure to work with Rickey, and I look foward to posting up some record setting number with that 14r turbo. It was great to meet some of the guys from this forum and put a face with the names this weekend. It is always a pleasure for me to help out as the track if time permits. As a kid racing motocross (atv's) I would always seek advice from the pros or guys that were doing well. And belive me, even as an adult I still remember the ones that were jerks and could not find the time to simply speak, or let known help out. I don't want to ever wear those shoes. Thanks for the support from the great members of this forum. Sincerely, Chris Jones.
