Pics of CT Duals

As many of you know, these are really incredibly well made pipes. I haven't gotten to do a lot of riding but first real day off today and plan to put some miles on the "new" bike. After 4500 miles of whisper quiet, that is about to change. Also equipped with PC5 and Brocks Streetmap2. I will write my own personal thoughts on the pipes and PC5 map later this evening!

Looks good. You said on your other post that this was your first full system. Are these slip ons or a header and mufflers?? by Brocks? I didnt know he offered a 4x2 header

That is a full 4-2-2 system. Brock is one of the few that I know of that offers full systems with duals. It is really a 4-2-1-2 if you count the single collector prior to the dual outlets.

Many of you Brocks users have far more experience with Brocks products than I do, so nothing new here but I want to say that I am enjoying my 14R now more than ever. The stock system even with the hideous OEM can's made great smooth quiet power, but the bike never felt like the monster that it is. First observation is the aural aspect. While I have not been a fan of the bass treble sound on sport bikes, I have to say that I have never heard a richer more robust sound on any motorcycle than I do with this full system. If there is a better sounding setup I haven't heard it. It's not overly loud but not quiet either. The feedback I now get from the smallest amount of throttle inputs is addictive,. The power is very SMOOTH and linear. In fact I find it smoother than the stock setup that felt almost turbo like at times. The back pressure on those stock silencers, while offering a lot of serious torque, really did not feel as good as this free breathing bike. The bike is now very eager to rev and I find myself using the gear box more, (ala a liter bike), than I did before. The feel and sound of this system through the gears, downshifting, or just a blip of the throttle is chill inducing!
I can't say that I've noticed the added power that a full system and good map offers in a major way, but I wasn't reallly expecting it to be honest, given the excellent fueling and very brisk behavior of the factory setup. I mean when you release a bike with over 190RWHP and 115 ft/lb torque, theres only so much to add. I've only put a little over 80 miles on the bike since install, so until I take my Sunday morning 200 mile country ride, I won't likely really take full advantage of what the bike has to offer. I'm sure most if not all the gains are going to be much further up the rev band than I've really gotten into for any sustained periods yet, It's redundant to say, I know, but of all the bikes I've owned and all the aftermarket companies I've dealt with for engine rebuilds, fueling systems, dyno tunes, etc etc., I've never had a more pleasurable experincee than I have had with Brocks Performance. Salute!

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice!!!

Best of both worlds! Looks of the duals like with slipons and the power of a full system.

Thanks all. I will update more as I explore the limits of this great bike and wonderful exhaust system for my style of street riding. I forgot to mention that I'm running a PC5 with Brocks Streetmap2. Really nice smooth map and the first time I've not had a custom tune and just ran a map instead.
Also I had about 1/4 tank of 91 octane after install and I've since filled it up with 89 for about 60 miles and I'll be damned if the bike didn't do just what you have all said...felt quicker and more like timing was advanced due to quicker burn. Could be in my head, but the whole theory of slower burning high octane to prevent spark knock, but feeling a bit more like timing is retarded, vs the quicker burning 89 seem to make more than a subtle difference to me!

What a glowing recommendation.

Your review makes me satisied already, and my exhaust is not even in yet, much less, ON the bike.

Great look, personally (on the 14R) I think the twins balances the bike out very nicely......IMO, they did not on the smaller 12.

I know "the waiting is the hardest part" I had almost a 3 month back order on mine so I got a nice taste of listening to youtube soud clips and staring at pics like these while I waited Good choice btw.

Kawifast,

Wow - thank you. As most know, I'm a racer at heart and we market through race results - but I dedicate a majority of my time making sure the finished product (pipe design, PC mapping, ecu re-flash, etc.) function as a seem less street combination, as this is where our true customer base is found. Unfortunately, street manners/look/sound are subjective and can't be presented as indisputably as a 1/4 mile time ticket or land speed record certificate.

I truly appreciate the kind words.

Glad to do it. These ARE great street pipes with your street map. First bike I've never had a custom tune on. I always looked down my nose at canned maps, but honestly don't see how I could improve on your map and these pipes.
