Little ET racing yesterday
Went to a street et race yesterday, made it to the semi's, was the second time out this year for me and the bike. Made it to the semis the first time as well. Bike is 100% stock and the first race I ran in L1 and ran 10.50's at 131mph with 1.70 60 foots. this race I wanted to pick up my time just a hair as there were 5 bikes running right around 10.50 to 10.60 and I wanted to be the chaser. so I ran it in F2 and it went 10.35 but then I started shifting at 10,000 and it ran 10.41 at 143. ran on my dail in twice and it would have 2 more times by looking at my 1000 foot time but I was ahead and rolled out of the gas. these 10.35 and 10.41 were with 1.85 60 foots. Bike flat flys when I click it in to 2nd gear. I knoe in F off mode I can stick it in the 9's bone stock not lowerd or strapped. Air was 3200 feet as well yesterday

Good job Bently, good to hear about the 14R out racing. I have only seen a couple in any of the races I have been to.

Well my times are no record setters but I'm just et racing and keeping this my street bike. I'm back to having fun! I was shocked 143 in f2 with stock exhaust in the heat. I did weigh it and it was 545, 750 with me on it suited up with 3/4 tank of gas, my buddies busa was 470!

That is awesome in my book completely stock. I ET race as well, and there really are not a lot of 14s on a regular basis here at all, especially no 14Rs. It is also good to hear you are back to racing so soon after your surgery. I am still a bit sore, especially getting into my leathers after my sub scap repair and bicep tenodesis.

Bently, I'm so glad to hear you're out playing with the 14r. Your post honestly made my day. Not trying to steer you down the wrong path or anything but keep this in mind. My 09 is still a 100%, ride every day, ride anywhere even 2 up, burn 87 octane gas in stop and go traffic with it 100 degrees and doesn't overheat, gets 40+ MPG streetbike. And we love drag racing it to the point that it just wouldn't be the same if we didn't. I know you like drag racing too so don't feel guilty about modding the bike somewhat to make it easier to drag race it.

I will put adjustable lowering links and a front end strap on it this fall in the better air just to see what it will run but it's staying stock wheelbase!

Thanks my arm feels great, I had another bicep tear but this one he could just shave off no need for anchors like the first time and then my bone was impinging(sp) some areas so he ground that away. I feel beetter then I've felt in over a yr! actually going for a ride right now!!!

Take it out 6". Won't kill it as a streetbike. You know you want to.

Nope, I have a 2500 mile trip this fall with it and we will hit alot of twisties and I hate a bike thats stretched on the street, to me it takes the fun out of riding it. I'm having more fun with this bike then any bike I've had lately.

Bently,
I'll bet you some bikeland stickers that you can't get a 6.24 1/8 mile your first two passes off the trailer.
Bet?

Bone stock, not lowerd or anything? I don't think I can do that at my weight. I said I can stick it in the 9's bone stock and it won't take anything close to a 6.24 to go 9.90's.

Bently,
How about a 6.299?
6.299 1/8 mile = 9.95 1/4 mile.
