All 4 valves are bent in the #2 cylinder. Valve seats are fine. Anyone know who has stock compression drop in forged pistons?

She's almost back together. Motor is in. Just a few small things and she should start up.
Here's what had to be replaced:
piston
all 4 valves in #2
minor hardware
Cost just over $400 with all the hardware and parts. Got lucky. My dealer sure was a huge help. Gave me great prices on the parts plus one of the owners let me bring the head to the shop and clearance the valves for free. And he helped. Awesome folks!

WOW...glad that worked okay.Listen...I know nothing about engine work....that one pic there...showing the 'three' pistons in it....I'm not sure what I'm looking at there...in the center one....is that a chip of piston top sitting against the cylinder wall there? You see what I'm talking about.yes?Whatever that is...it's looks pretty funky to me.How the heck could it get like that?

That's the #2 cylinder in my ZX14. What you see is a piece of the piston ring sticking up. The ring land broke. The piece bounced around and bent all 4 valves. Just some minor nicks on the head. No damage to the cylinder wall. Got lucky there too.

Okay...sheesh...lucky is right!I would think that ring would score that wall big time.Glad it didn't!

If the ring land is gone, there is no compression to push the ring out and begin to score it.

The only way that kind of hammering happens is upon the peak kinetic. Det can collapse piston crowns on top of the ring lands and now you have locked rings. They cannot move out, meaning, catch air under the lands, the back of the ring and move that air down to the next ring> under pressure.
The other part of det is it can literally curve the rod into a C. Also, soft bearing material can squish out flat. You need to catch that [kind of stuff] on the rebuild. If the head is off, run up each piston to TDC. Are all 4 at the same height? If one is lower, there is your #2 rod with a little C cupping or curving. That would be a way to see if peak TDC is as straight as the other 3 rods would be.
If the head is on, then it is to poke each spark plug hole with a chopstick or use something soft? Poke a hole in some cardboard. Watch the stick come up thru the cardboard; all even with a mark on the stick like the other 3.
