Testing Drag Pack clutches and a New record for me 8.47 .......
Density Altitude: 2187 feet
Relative Density: 93.76 %
It was 91 deg when i showed up at the track , humidity around 70 % .. I'm thinking to myself this is going to be fun just to get the bike to run anywhere in the 8.50s .. Well i'm testing the new clutches and not all that worried about the numbers anyway ..
The new clutches were a bit grabby for the first two runs and then seemed to seat in and start working like my factory clutches did .. First two runs the bike spun out of the hole because they were releasing a bit faster than the track could hold .. Third run i was able to slide the clutch out just like the OEM clutches .. I was still having a bit of wheel spin so for run number four i backed off my RPMs to 5k from 5500 and rode the clutch out just a bit longer and the bike hooked good ... First three passes where low 8.50s @ 160 with 60 footer in the low 1.40s .. Hummmmmm low 8.50s with 1.40 60 foot times in the heat on a greasy track .. Man if i could just get this bike to go a low 1.30 60 footer i'd be in the high 8.40s .. I dropped the air PSI in the tire down to 15 from 20 PSI , i knew that would kill some MPH but i was looking for ET and not MPH ...Next pass i hit it harder out of the hole and hit a 1.33 60 footer .. The pass felt real clean and the ticket backed up what i felt ..
At this point i forgot all about the clutches because they seems to be working so well .. The Drag Packs do work like many here on Bikeland have said they would , i have no clue at this point if they will out last the OEM clutches.. I'll keep count of the passes i make on them and see if they out last the OEMs ..
I was worn out from the heat and the track just got oiled down by a car after my last pass so i loaded up and came home ..I just didn't want to wait an hour for them to clean the hole left lane .. But i did drive home with a smile on my face ..

Dwayne at CC says they are not made by KG. I had gotten the same info from Greg on that other site but Dwayne came here and straightened me out.
BTW, that's a great run this time of year Lee.

He's had a 1.30 60 footer before which would have made that run atleast a 8.42 so a pass in the 8.30's is there IMO for sure in good air. then there's always MR12!

I would settle for it weighing what mine weighs, forget the spray. If his bike weighed 460lbs imagine what it would be running.
