My 14 got a turbo as an exhaust upgrade But I mounted a full yoshi on my busa, and I had to switch the axle around as well. I also had to remove my spools.
But the yoshi hugs the side of the bike nice and tight, makes it look much better, gives me tons of clearance, and makes it much easier for my passengers to get on and off without having to crawl all over a hot exhaust can sticking way out. I hated how bulky and far out the stockers were on both bikes.

Zxninja, what the guys are saying I guess was, if you are not familiar with messing around with rear wheels, and they advise you, and your wheel falls off at 180 mph, then they could be held liable, and you end up owning their houses.
They were not being smart arses, just not wanting someone to do something that ends badly.

He knows that know, we texted back and fourth a few times the other day. He knows I was just trying to help.

quote: And for a map i used the one from dynojets page, but now i have a wideband it turned out a little too rich but work OK

Thanks a lot for the information and the pics. I'm thinking to start today and to just move the radiator forward. How was your fuel mileage with dynojet map? I was getting 28mpg the first 600 miles riding normally and then 32mpg with and without flies.

quote: I have the TRC system fitted and swapped the axle as per the instructions. I assumed it was for clearance but noticed after fitting mine that a few guys here had the same pipe fitted and not reversed the axle. They didn't appear to have any problems. It's hard to assess the actual clearance as, at rest, the pipe sits higher than the axel but mine (with the swapped axle) appears to have plenty of clearance so as to not need the axle changing over.
I assume somebody must have fitted a silencer badly at some point, made contact between nut and pipe and now Yoshi include the instruction just to cover their backs.
Thank you for the information. I will try it without switching the axle.

I had to reverse the axle on my busa, no way it would fit without it. Be careful if you load a passenger up (or hit any big bumps) on a ride. It would be a shame to destroy an expensive can over a simple axle reversal
I would just do it for the peace of mind....

I installed the header and the spring is rubbing against the oil filter. Is this normal? Also found stock pipe was dented at the bottom by the sidestand. Do they intall the pipe at the factory or at the dealer? What about the coolant at the dealer when they take it out of the crate or at the factory? The coolant level was low, maybe the stealership got cheap. Also when I removed the flies found the the breather hose under the tank pinched close by grommet under the tank. Now I know why it was hard opening the lid when refuelling. Wonder if the hose was pinched at the factory or the dealer? Re-routed and rounded the hose and heard air rush in and hissing for about 10 seconds. Now the tank cap opens easily.
