I have the same gearing although I'm running 42 rear know.I have the 190/55/17 tire which gave it about 5 mph more top end.

I did a roll on with my Uncle on his 2011 zx14; he was in 5th(16/41-gear ratio) and I was in 6th (17/43-gear ratio). We punched around 75 to 80 mph. His bike as thinner head gasket, dust seal removed, lowered, stretched, tuned 87 pump 12.9/13 to 1 a/f. My mods are lowered piped, tuned w/brock's street map(moded with 3.5% more fuel 80/100 after 6k.
With inital hit, he didn't move anywhere, perhaps a second or so, I started to walk away in a hurry..... we didn't do any lower gears as to there was no need in doing so.....
I really love the brakes.... I am talking two finger braking ..... Kawi got it right.....with this one.

Wow nice you gave him a gear lower and he still didn't get any jump. How does your 11 zx10 compare??

Yeah smokin i don't know this guy,he thinks i'm someone else i guess.Oh well i'm not going to answer him back just ingnored him. Thanks guys i think next time i change my oil i'm going to go back to the stock sprocket up front and give it a try and smooth out the bike a lil.

Gixxer John I am with Smokin on this one keep the stock gearing as you said you are not a heavy person so you should have some advantage with weight , I think the gearing is catching you out while racing thus the bouncing off the limitter, stock gearing for the road should be fine, are you running stock wheel base.

Yes i'm swb,and i hear ya i'm going back to the 17 tooth up front. The back sprocket is one tooth larger but i bought a black vortex sprocket in which i like the looks better so i'll keep the one tooth bigger in the back still. But going up one tooth in the front should be pretty good.
