14R insurance in Ohio

Getting closer to taking the plunge on a 14r. We have Progressive on both our vehicles, our home, and a dirtbike and quad. 50 today, married, home owner, great credit score, no accidents or claims. They told me $1400 a year, HOLY CRAP.

My fellow Ohioans, who are you insured with and what are you paying?

Thanks in advance.

Geico appears to be best for me in Iowa with $800/yr. Progressive was great for my speed triple @ $155/yr, but they're ridiculous on the new 14 @ $1100/yr.

I had my 06 insured through Progressive as well as my Road King. When the insurance bill was
itemized it came to around $400 a year for the 14. It could be your location in the state. I am located near Dayton. I think your agent is bending you over. Try Watkins and Keyerleber for bike insurance.
I have been with them for almost 20 years for MC insurance.

Later...

is watkins and keyerleber the agents name? got a phone # for them? I live in a township outside of toledo, can't imagine dayton would be cheaper. I don't go through and agent, straight through progressive 1-800

I agree, I would never have a bike that was 1000 or more to insure. but when my full coverage on a 14r is only 235 I wouldn't go with just liabilty either.
