and that makes it worthless for measuring HP
Worthless, try talkin about something you know. My bike dynoed 201hp and 117 tq. Sounds about right to me.

You say I make myself look like a ass...
But anyway, what they are trying to tell you is a hp number from a dyno doesn't mean shit. Your a /f ratio at a given rpm is what is important. If your a/f is off at 85 mph (since you don't have rpm's hooked up) how do you k ow how to adjust that on your map??
Or is it "cool" to show the squids in your area that you have a 200+hp bike on paper?

____________
Best: 60ft 1.351 1/8 5.68 mph 123.98 1/4
8.89 mph 151.32

Mr Douchebag to you.

What that post was aimed at was to induce you into stopping with the sweeping statements of pure igrnorance.

"I have a brocks map,so idont need to have it tuned..."

That sort of 110% wrong statement can have a harmful impact on folks who really are just starting out, and are looking for useful information.

Gixxer obviously has more money than sense. He did say he had more money than the other squids in town because he likes to pick on them.

He's KING of his local squids!

You can get the rpm signal from the black/orange wire coming out of the ecu I've had my bike on the dyno twice and both times they read the rpm through that wire.

Wow, that comment is going to haunt him for the rest of his days on here, or until he changes his screen name.

Gixxer, some of the members (regulars) are trying to educate you to what is both an art and a science. Some of the subject matter is far more complicated that what time allows to explain in type form.

http://www.web-cars.com/math/horsepower.html

This web site gives a good explanation to those of us who are less engineering minded.

As they quote, RPM is needed in order to calculate the "work" being done. Otherwise the numbers are really just for bragging rights at the local bike night.

Also, keep in mind that no 2 engines are exactly the same. What may benefit one engine may have an adverse effect or no effect on another. Brock's maps are painstakingly constructed but with variables such as the quality of your fuel( we all know how that varies ) the ever changing barometric pressure and humidity, air temperature, and a multitude of other factors that can almost never all be included, no one map is going to be perfect all the time. Some will be close but very commonly there may be room for a little improvement which will vary from machine to machine and day to day.

can we keep with the topic without bashing GXXR.... all of you know when you roll your bike on the dyno at those shoot out competitions they don't hook up anything... most don't even show the A/F.

It's just show of biggest dick competition. ...... he was not getting the bike tuned......

Jeeesssss

(if you all have such a problem with him, not reply to any of this post, or if he posts, just ignore the post).... this is getting out of hand...
