2008 ECU Questions?

First I'll give a little back ground for those that don't know us and what we trying to accomplish. We are attempting to run a ZX14 drive train in a chassis bike in the Top Gas class on a shoe string budget. In addition to the motor/trans we are running the factory wiring harness, ecu, injection etc etc. So far performance hasn't been the issue. At the last Valdosta race we were elated to run a 7.96 167mph all motor pass. The only problem with that is the index for TG is 8.20 and no one makes a throttle stop to work with the fuel injection set up. We have purchased and retrofitted an MPS throttle stop designed to work with a carb to our application and believe that it should do the job of slowing it down.
Now for the part that we need the help with. We are having problems with consistency. At Valdosta we ran form high 7's to 8.20's. As always we were on a brand new tire, fresh fuel, and from looking at the data logger everything seemed to be working as it should except the fuel/air. Leaning it out or richening it didn't always produce the results we expected. During the weekend we tried different things to slow it down but nothing seemed to work with any consistency. It was as if the ecu was adjusting against us. That is when we hatched the idea that if we could lock the ecu down so only we were making changes that the bike should be more consistant or at least respond to fuel changes and weather changes in the direction one would expect.
Early on in the history of the 14 I remember reading some where that in either 5th or 6th gear the ecu would give the most timing and most fuel. Which ever one is the best I'd want the ecu to think the bike was in that gear all the time.
Also there are several sensors that feeds the ecu information which affects how much timing and fuel is delivered. If those could be replaced with the appropriate resistor to make the ecu think that the bike was running in optimum conditions then the timing and fuel delivery would be maximized. What I need to know is,

1: Which gear indicated would provide the best performance.

2: What size and value of resistor to replace each sensor with.

Surely some of you that have been drag racing 14's for the last 6yrs could help a fellow out with some info. PLEASE! If you don't want to put it up for everyone to read then send me a PM or email. Thanks in advance for your time and consideration.

I think you are chasing something that's not there. A 6th gear map is not going to make you more consistent.

You have a good problem, "going too fast".
try:
1. going down on the rear sprocket 2 or 3 teeth.

2. If you are auto shifting, make the bike short shift.

I know this is not a direct answer to your question, but it will most like solve your problem.
