not going in 2nd gear sometimes
I've had my 14r for 1500 miles now 29days in between working away from home.I changed my oil at 600 miles and i rode it like it was mine from dealership. on 2003 zx9r i was custom to keeping pressure on gear shift and bump the clutch. Now the 14 will not go fully in 2nd sometimes am i not putting enough pressure on it or is something wrong i don't shift like that all the time but 3 to 4 times got me thinking

this is probably something that is going to have to be diagnosed in person. its hard for us to tell how much pressure you are putting on the shifter, etc. i would try shifting it like its "suppose" to be done, and see if that works. If it doesnt i would take it back to the dealer

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I don't really pay attention. I use to use it all the time, but I guess drag racing has got me in the habit of not using it

On my 07 14 a few times it would pop out but often I did not give it a "firm" shift. On the 14R I have only been between gears 1 time and it was WOT clutch less up-shifting using the quickshifter and not shifting "firm". I would let the dealer take a look but it might not be a mechanical issue, no disrespect intended.

I think, but can't prove now, that the slipper makes it a little more finicky about clutchless shifts. I noticed this, but have since installed the Brock's clutch mod and the issue has not shown itself since....
Look at the adjustment of your shift lever. Mine was rotated up a notch from the factory, which reduces your leverage. Adjust it so the lever is pointing downward a bit.
