Yes it does Dave. this bike is butter smooth and even with a passenger handles way better in the curves then my gen 1's have. and the power coming out of curves is beyond fun. I will not be stretching this bike! kawasaki had a good bike with the first 14's but there really is no comparison in my book as far as street riding goes. I will not be one of the quicker ones here with this new 14 as I'm not doing much to it as far as 1/4 mile set up. I had more fun riding with the wife today then I've had at the track in along time.
Thanks for that information. I keep hearing great things about this bike and I may regret getting that new turbo 14 instead of a new 14r. Right now I'm just more into track visits and making memories than street riding. See, here I am trying to justify NOT buying one. I'll bet it handles really nice at stock wheelbase. The problem is that if/when I get one I'd do the exact thing to it as I've done to my Monster Edition so the handling in the curves would be lost. I do like the looks of the new one a little better than mine though. One day. One day......

i'm not bitter .. i'm tired of being called a liar that these bikes are not selling for 16,000.00 OTD .. you show me 1 fucking dealer advertizing 12,999.00 price any wheres .. cause on the internet 14,600.00 is the price before TTL ..then in texas add + 8% tax and paper fees ..

Since you're so tired of hearing the deals folks get on their 14R's, stop reading now unless you can handle it.
-I paid far less than $14600 after TTL at a local DFW dealer.

PLEASE list what different from an 06 to a 2012 to make it handle better.. the lighter wheels maybe the traction control or the ABS .. maybe the tires ..brakes , shock, frame, wind protection, MY FAVORITE throttle response, swingarm , seating position, ..i guess I'd just have to ride 1 for myself to see ..since basically they the same bikes ..
I really don't know if it's the wheels or the tires or the different swing arm, they also stiffend the arm and frame and that can help. all I know is between 5 busa's( 3 gen 2'S) and 4 14's this bike out handles all of them hands down. and IMO the mapping from the factory is better then any bike i've had for smoothness in curves. Wish you where close to me you could take it for a ride.

Well 1bad in jersey i paid 500 off retail,i have bought many bikes off these dealer, but NO break on the new 14r. I bought the se model,if i bought the blue or black one he said he would work A LIL on the price. But in the northeast everything is top dollar i guess, more money in this part of the country. I think after tax and tags i paid a lil over 16,000. I get SOOOO pissed when i hear what people paid but oh well i still enjoy my bike anyway.

the price you are looking at is the MSRP... do you know what that means?
obviously not... so i will give you a brief explanation via cut and paste..
The manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP), list price or recommended retail price (RRP) of a product is the price which the manufacturer recommends that the retailer sell the product. The intention was to help to standardise prices among locations. While some stores always sell at, or below, the suggested retail price, others do so only when items are on sale or closeout/clearance
in other words... wait.. you know what.. never mind..
people on here telling you what they paid for thier bike and you still dont believe it so i'm probably just wasting bandwidth....carry on....

i know how MSRP works .. all these people with their great deals ain't telling the full story ... let me put it to you like this ... i can get a zx14r tomorrow for 12,500.00 as long as i trade in my 2006 zx14 for 3500.00... so yes wow i got a zx14r for 12,500.00 ..
so no matter how you slice and dice it the MSRP price is what a dealer is shooting for ... 1 way or another .. most people are to stupid to understand that tho .. remember these same people elected Obama ... but they got a great deal ..

there you go financed 10,000.00 ..the dealer gets a kick back from the loan company to enroll you into the program .. you just don't see that HIDDEN kick back refunded to dealer to bring GOAL price back up to close to MSRP .. but on paper you got a zx14r at a lost to dealer ...but dealer got his money from loan company.. you pay for it in the interest.. or you may even have an early pay-off penailty if you tried paying it off tomorrow..
