Hey guys...perhaps a dumb question, but to those who have the Gen1 and now the Gen2 ZX14, but is there a HUGE difference in power 'stock to stock'??

Stock for stock you can feel the differences. Feels like a 15 to 20 hp difference to me. Ofcouse thats JMHO

So piped and tuned Gen1, vs. stock Gen2 is still a big difference in the seat of the pants? Yes, I've seen the vid that Gadson did with the 3 bikes...

I picked up 2 tenths, with the same mods on my 14r as my 06 ZX14.. Same day testing!

Gen 1 8.76..... Gen 2 8.45 you can do the math ..

8.76 to 8.45, is that a seat of the pants difference? Would two guys out on the highway notice a difference? (sorry for the perhaps dumb questions!!)

Nearly 70 feet, roughly 4 car lengths or a bazillion bike lengths .................

Mr 87gtnos, I am with Smokin. The new ZX14R is seat of the pants faster than the gen 1 by far. It is head above heels better than the old model at everything. I highly recommend this bike.
