Brock's map are very good, but all maps are only spot on, when the conditions they were created in exisits. This is why somedays your bike will run very good numbers and somedays it will not. The weather plays a vital part in the tuning of any bike.....

I suggest get the Brock maps and use them as a very good starting point... but IMO additional tunning is required for best conditions performance... It all depends on your perfection level

Here's my 2 cents on the situation: How can Brock’s Performance maps be so close?/Can a Brock’s Track map work better than a custom tune?

We see it all of the time. Someone tells our customer to get a custom tune - they spend $200-$350, head out to the track and GO SLOWER. They put our track map in, and speed right back up again.

I'm not saying that we are god's gift... I am saying that after 30 years in this industry, we have a pretty good handle on what we can and can't do. Of course, if you have a custom engine, YOU MUST have a custom map for maximum performance - but if your engine is stock, we are on the same page and I can actually do a BETTER job than the factory using a Power Commander. It's true, I have 250 RPM increments to work with and I don't have to worry about emissions.

If you have a stock motor and Brock's exhaust it is hard to beat their maps. A tuner once made more than 50 pulls on one of my bikes and it ran slower than it did with the Brock's map....I learned a little something that day.

Brock's Maps are spot on. I sure in some areas where there is an extremes difference in weather it could be worth it but in Arkansas I have had countless dyno runs and track time and my tuner has yet to improve on Brocks map for
Performance. He has made some minor adjustments in the lower end and smoothed things out a tiny bit but damn sure not 300 dollars worth. I look forward to getting the 2012 "Brocked" out to do some testing on it

the maps are pretty much right on but at the end of the day its all on what you trying to do and if you really want to squeeze every bit of power from the bike, and of course how much money youre willing to spend. with that being said when i had mines dyno with the PCV and brocks street map Cecil up in HTP Performance in Richmond was able to tweek the map and get an additional 9 horses out of it.

On pump gas? I'd like to see those before and after charts...including afr and run conditions...and of course, your setup details.

Cecil's dyno is known to be very "pleasant", and he is also known as a very good tuner. He doesn't use a Dynojet dyno, and Dynojet's are the industry standard....

I am in the same general geographical area, and have never seen anything on a Brock's map that would allow for a 9 hp (!!!!) increase...on pump or race fuel.
