12 Years since Ive been on a NINJA
Just thought Id share.
Bought my 14r about 3 weeks ago. My last bike was a 2000 zx9r after 3 years of riding/ racing it I could get low tens out of it and enjoyed just riding the bike as much as possible.
The new 14r is just more in every category.
I took it to the track last weekend and did my best to make a pass. Bike is completely stock and all I can say is wow!!
I only got tho make one pass but it showed me alot.
10.99 @ 134 1.94 60ft on the back wheel.....
I dropped rear tire to 25 psi, I left at 3500 and it bit like a pitbull. I did my best to keep the front end down but it carried it through 3rd.... Ill turn the traction/wheelie control back on the next time I get to the track.
Lots to improve on, Id just like to see a high 9 in stock form. I wieght 215 with gear.

I had my zx14R for 3 months now and I still smile every time I walk by it. And I'am new to this forum, but find myself looking for something new on it everyday.

Before your next trip to the track, you may want to put a strap on it if you plan to race it every now and then. You'll see 9's easily on that bike with just the strap.

Thanks for the replies.
I am definatley looking at srapping the front end, I have thought about lowering the bike but I dont want to change any of the handling characteristics. Is that possible ?? My girl and I take it for rides thru the curves on a regular basis so it got to be able to handle two up wieght and still turn in good on the twisties.
Thanks again.

I love going thru the winding roads with my wife, on our first trip up through
N/E PA into Upstate NY she said she much rather ride on the ZX14 than the 109 Boulevard.
To me that worth a second on the track.

That's is exactly why I want to get a 14r. My wife enjoys sitting on the back of that thing. She was upset when I sold my 06 14. I guess it allows more riding time without being in the doghouse. I rarely even felt her back there with all the power the 14 had. It's a great street bike.. Hands down.

Its the best of both worlds, I almost never go to the track but 8000 miles per season riding is pretty normal.
