Brocks map vs custom tune?

How good if brocks maps vs getting a custom tune? The guy and the shop said that the custom tube works 100% better and puts up better numbers. If there any truth to that or is he next trying to get my money?

The guy could be right about a custom map putting out better number on the dyno, but we don't race on dynos. Brock's maps will give you better time at the track, and I don't know about you but to me, that's were it counts. Just my 2ct.

Optimal tunes can vary by bike and location. A real good shop may be able to finetune your machine for your location, but I doubt you'll see any major drivability or power differences. Matt Drucker (local bike speed shop owner) told me if I buy a Brock's exhaust that it wouldn't be worth it to pay $250 for a custom tune because the Brock's map was close enough for my needs.

Adams Performance told me that for a stock motor zx14, they couldn't do much better than the Brock map. I appreciate their honesty

Chris Jones tuned mine and he did get a few more up out of it, but not much.
I can't tell the difference on the street, but as far as et, it consistantly does better et's than before (not by much)

i tossed in his map and went down the track then dyno shop tuned it made more hp less mph , alot of people tune every thing to one afr , but every bike is a lil diffrent. some times less is more and more is less. gen 1 zx14 love more gas like 12.8- 12.9 not 13.2
