Time for a Fork oil change

Im thinking its time to change the fork oil, my bike is an 08 with 24k miles on it, its at 67" and has a re valved rear shock with a race tech spring that works well with the extension.
Ive done a few fork seal and bushing jobs, but never been in a zx14's fork.
All i want to do is a fluid change, is it as simple as pulling the fork, removing the cap and dumping it out and re-filling with a measured amount?
Also anyone have a oil weight recomendation? Im about 190 suited, 67" wb. I feel as the stock oil is a bit to thin since I extended the bike.
Ive got the shop manual, but id feel better after hereing from a experienced fork guy before I start.

We need pics when you do it. I'm sure mine could benefit from some new oil also. Always nice if there's vid/pics as the manual skips so much info.

Ill do that, I just finished studying the manual and it looks just like every other fork ive worked on before so nothing new. Ill take a few pics and do a wright up on this. I think most guys could do this with a home made or 30.00 ebay spring tool.
The only thing I need to figure out is what weight oil to use. Stock is 5w but being that my bike is at 67" and im no lightweight (195lbs) im thinking 7.5 or 10w. Any input guys?

From what i know from a few drag builders They use 20w shock oil when they cut down the forks on their applications. I would say 10w would be a good choice for a stretched application with a 150+ lb rider with stock legnth forks.
Maybe there is someone else who has done this job to their 14.
Just figured i would chime in with what i know...

On my ZX12R I poured the fork oil out into a clean pan, then pumped the fork up and down a few times to get it all out, let the fork sit in the pan upside down over night then measured precisely the amount that came out. Then refilled the fork with the same amount of oil. Worked great.

Well Icant seem to compress the spring far enough to get to the nut to remove the retainer assembly myself. So i carefully drained the shock oil into a fuel mixxer bottle that has measuring marks on it. I drained 460ml out of each leg and replaced with 465 ml. Im sure this will be fine this time, but I wouldnt do this a secont time as the levels could become to far out of wack this way after a time or to.
Next time ill have a friend here to help compress the spring or get or make a threaded rod style compressor.
