? on pwr com maps
Can I copy the numbers from a 2006 14 that has a head and sidewinder to a 2010 14 pwr com. my new data logger box appears to be bad. when I power it up it draws voltage and kills the bike. I have a map form an 06 I just was not sure if the numbers would be the same or if the 2010 injectors are different where the map would be different.

Hey Brent, don't know if this helps or not.
When I head my head done on my '09 I swapped to the early style injectors thinking it might help. After tuning the bike on a DynoJet 250 I swapped the ecu with an early model and the map was immediately off. I guess the firing times between the two models are different since the injectors are different.
I'm guessing the maps between the early & later 14's won't work straight out, it would have to be tweaked.

Thanks Dan that's what I was afraid of. someone sent me a map from an 06 with same mods as mine and I was going to try to just transfer numbers over. as the data logger I just spent 400 on came and does not work as soon as you power it on it killls the bike. it has to be shorted out inside the logger

Usb to PVC ... The only difference is the PCV 15% column and the USB doesn't Have .. zero out the PCV map and copy and paste the USB map into the PCV skipping the 15% column ( leave it blank for now ) Now in each cell of the 15% column that is empty take the number at 10% and 20 % throttle and Avg them , take that number and install it in that 15% cell , do each 15% cell from top to bottom till the 15% column is full .. So let say at 10% throttle in the 4500 rpms you have a +5 and at 20% throttle you have a +7 avg those numbers to the closest hole number .. Let say it come out to +6 , now add that number to the 15% column at 4500 RPM .. Get it ? ... It not that hard .. If the numbers are not right on ( just close ) it will not matter because you will be spending little or no time there anyway , at least drag racing where you mainly use the 100% column .. I have done it with a few maps and it works fine ..

brent all i can say is my 06 ran 8.70s and so did my 09 with the same map ..Spray pattern of the injector may be different but they still have to put out the same fuel at the right time .. Both use 41 to 42 psi ..

crap...i didnt even pay attention to that 15% column when i copied my map from a .djm to a .pcv file
Think it will really matter? When i went for a test ride the good ol "butt dyno'' didnt seem off at all...now ill have to double check!

I have a 06 and 08 Brock map and they are different because of the injectors, but not by a lot.

The Power Commander V doe n't care what injectors you have. All it does is add or subtract fuel based on the fuel tables. You can edit those. You can import a PC III map using the PC V software.

Can you import a pcv map into a pcIII? It sounds like you would lose a column but would it still work?
