Yep - I have the Two Brothers V.A.L.E. M-2 Carbon slip-ons on my 2012 ZX-14R

I also needed to install some P1X (-7 to 8 dB) power tips too, as without these it was way too loud for my liking. Now it's nice and throaty without being cop bait...

Cheers!

She looks great! The bike I mean! Was the install easy ,and do you have a power commander air filter? Or just the pipes?

I installed TB mufflers and pipes with the help of one mate (to help hold things in position) so if I can do it I'm sure anyone can. Just get some decent quality allen key tools as some of those are done up really tight from the factory.

The weight loss is noticable, and I don't need to say how much better she looks compared to stock do I?

Being carbon fibre they run really cool and are safe to touch within a few moments of getting off the bike - no burnt hands!! I had some stainless steel mufflers on my last bike (ZZR-1100/ZX-11) and they would stay extremely hot for quite some time - quite dangerous if you have any kids around.

Just be careful with the amount of noise the Two Brothers mufflers will make, as unless you actually like a REALLY loud exhaust you'll also want to grab a pair of P1X power tips (in anodised black).

I say go for it!

FWIW, I love the TBR's on everything. They have an awesome, low, sporty/aggressive sound. I like them w/o the tips but that's personal preference. I've had dozens of their exhausts and currently have them on a Versys and ST1300. Great product w/a great sound. Again, FWIW...

Greggy,
I can't tell real well fromt the photos but I was going to buy this same exact setup but I saw a display at the cycle shop and it appeared the mid pipe was stainless (brushed looking) and not the shiny chrome look of the stock pipes or for example the yoshimura pipes. Can you confirm? I was disappointed to see that on the display but wasn't sure if they were all that way. Thanks.

I love the look of the Two Brothers the problem I had with the one I had on my CBR 1000 if I rode for an hour I would have a buzz in my ear for two hours mine was way to loud.

Yeah without the P1X 'power tips' these TB slip ons were way too loud. Now I love the sound. The power tips are really simple to install/remove so you get the best of both worlds with these TB mufflers. Top quality kit too - the carbon fiber mufflers are a work of art, and the joins (without the need of springs) is modern looking and very effective - a bit like the 14R itself

The mid pipe is brushed stainless steel that is slowly turning gold which is what high quality stainless steel does when going through heating/cooling cycles. I dont mind the look at all compared to chrome. In fact I think the brushed stainless steel hides marks and finger prints etc a whole lot better than shiny chrome surfaces. Overall a solid quality product from TBR

Rob I don't think I'll get around to uploading a video or sound file anytime soon, but you never know!!

Overall I'm very pleased. The engine seems to get stronger and stronger the more I ride it (now almost up to 3000Kms). It's definitely hitting harder than when it had lower mileage. I noticed it really perked up after a good country run when it was around 2000Kms with a few 200Km/h blasts thrown in to blow out the cob webs

Hi Gregg--did you install a tuner such as PCv or just using the stock tune? how does it run? any new hesitations or throttle response problems since installing the two brothers slip on's? thanks Mort
