First oil change
Going to change m oil on my 14r here in the next couple day. I bought synthetic oil but one dealer told me to wait until the second oil change to but the good synthetic oil in. He said just put in regular oil wait for 4,000 miles then the bike is fully break-in?

I wish that there was some way that somone could "SEARCH" the website to see if anything like this has ever been discussed before. That would be a great feature to have.

I changed mine at 600 miles last weekend with Mobil1 4T and a OEM filter.
I think you'll find most dealership parts guys are complete idiots but they're 100% confident about everything they say, no matter how wrong they are.
My local dealership parts guy told me that 0 weight oil Brocks sells is really hard on the clutch. He then went on to explain how lower weight oils make the clutch work harder than regular 10-40 oil because "the clutch makes up for the lighter weight oil." He got a blank stare for a moment when I asked him if that had anything to do with different detergents or friction modifiers in the oils.
