Lowered it, black fin and bracket don't fit..anymore....??
I lowered it yesterday with stainless steel adjustable links and wider spacers that came with the kit, now the stock wing and bracket will not go back on the bike, the links prevent it from bolting back. I think the spacers used to move the links away from the shock/spring assembly and provide clearance, prevent the bracket from bolting back.
Any suggestions...don't want to use a fixed link cause now my feet are fully on the ground?
Can run it this way but it doesn't look finished in the rear as it did stock.

Do you have the 2012 ZX14r, if so, does your wing and wing bracket go back into stock configuration?

I want it on there cause it comes with the bike and looks more finished than without it..should be able to get a link that doesn't require changing the outward appearance of the bike.....

It is just dead weight. I need to get my bike down to the 450-460lb range.

That wing is the first thing I remove...I think it actually cleans up the rear end a bit...

I got a friend that says I should take mine off.... I did not cuz of how it looks to me. He said it would look better without it! I said "REALLY?" What does he know? He rides a Busa! lol!
Just a bike joke.

The factory engineers put it there for a reason.....they build tens of thousands of fast motorcycles....a multi-million dollar company.....reduces rear drag slightly, and makes the bike look faster........mine will be there as soon as my new links arrive next week!
