He is getting it done for sure, especially at that wheelbase.

It looks like that Busa's 8.42 will be in danger way before a set of BST's and all of the other tricks are even employed.

Guess i need to order a drag shock real soon !! I just have a hard time paying out 2k for a shock ... I'm going to need some kind of edge to get my ETs lower because we just don't have the air here in FL that they have up north ..
Looks like pump gas works better than MR12 ... MR12 might work with a tune but not just pouring it in with no tune ..

I've said it before that Ohlins shock flat works! My bike hooks to a 1.44 60 foot on an outlaw track we run at that does no track prep.

I wonder how brocks EZ drag shock stacks up to the ohlins drag shock .. Other than the color of the shock they look the same ..

That Ohlins drag shock really seemed helped Ricky ... With the stock shock he was running 1.40s and with the drag shock he going low 1.30s .. That tells me it doing it's job i think....There could be other mods coming into play that i don't know about ..
The problems i'm having with my stock shock on my new bike i didn't have with my old bike .. I'm sure it's do to the extra power of the new bike .. My problem is when i hit a 1.30 to 1.31 60 footer the bike leaves the line with the tire on the ground but as i move down the track the bike starts coming up , i have to trim the throttle to keep the tire from going too high ... Now when i back off a bit and run a 1.34 or 1.35 it will not do that and i can keep the throttle pinned in first gear .. I can run 8.52 with the 1.34 to 1.35 60 foot time ... When it hit 1.30 to 1.31 and have to trim the throttle i run 8.54 or 8.55 .. I'm sure if i get a 1.30 to 1.31 60 and keep it pinned it will go high 8.40s .. I think Ricky was having the same problem as me till he replaced the shock .. If i could be 100% sure this is my problem i'd order the shock right now .. I'd sure like to test one before i drop a grand on it ....

In this pass you can see the bike coming up , i had to trim the throttle just a bit ( not pin it ) to keep it from coming up too much .Had i pinned sooner it would have really screwed up the pass ...I knew the second i did that i would not have a high 8.40 pass .. If a good drag shock would fix that i'd be a happer camper ..

Smokin, I hope that shock helps, but you get to a point when leaving as hard as possible the wheel will lift, nothing will stop that except a longer wheelbase, shock may help some but there is a limit on 60ft times even with the Ohlins.

I dont see how a dragshock is a waste of anyone's money. They are just so responsive to tuning. Mine still will wheelie with the dragshock but I really havent finished messing with it. Stiffening up the spring and compression is supposed to stop so much transfer onto the back tire which makes the front go light and into a wheelie. That is the next step for me to try out. Put too much stiffness in it and it will spin like crazy.

Well i would hope it would help .. I was able to go 1.31 at 62 inch wheel base and not wheely on my old bike , so one would think at just over 65 inches i could go 1.31 without a wheely on my new bike .. I can't go any longer with my arm , so i need to come up with something that works .. Looking at the good side it's nice to have a bike with so much power to work with ..

Smokin, listen to the clutch action, it's not smooth, being more linear with it will get you a better time, you will be able to pin it and stay in it.
Pretty easy for me to tell you how to race huh LOL, really I think a smoother clutch release will get that .49 or better.
