Down on power? Check your fuel pump sump and sock.

I have had a steady decline in et and mph since the later part of last year. After talking about going on a teardown exploration of the fuel and igniton with 1bad, he was quite sure that the sump was plugged. He was quite right. Fine debris completely filled the sump and plugged the sock. Havent checked it in 1300 passes. Cant wait to run it again with the proper amount of fuel flow. The bike only has 10k miles. Wish I could post a pic for you but I cant.

Yes! The rust was on the ceiling of the tank and now its gone. Used a bottle of Evaporust. This stuff is great for bike tanks as it doesnt harm the paint or eat the metal. It just attacks rust. Harmless to your skin also. I just turned the tank upside down and poured the jug in and let it sit overnight. Pour it back in the jug to use next time.
