The big issue is that there is no "track" prep at these events...so you can't really launch the bike...

yup i totally agree:
LSR is boring compared with drag racing
but
drag racing is boring compared with road racing
and
road racing is boring compared with that chick i met in Managua
Its all relative...
These days i don't do Managua chicks or road racing or drag racing so LSR is for me!

A few years ago, there was a 1 mile LSR event directly west of Miami, i went once. Great facility, great people, I got to meet more of Sal's crew, had a ball. But Dade County shut em down. Too bad.

I am thinking a stock motor 14R can finally crack the no motor mods 200mph in 1 mile mark without tail wind assistance. I'd love to see it, maybe at Mojave one will show up.

Yep that dismiss didn't work well on my bike at all. I had better luck with the hook up on the street

1.5m 150% excitement
1m = 100% awesome
.5m = 50% fun
.25m = 25% okay

I think a 1/2m heads up drag race would be fun. I like the drag race challenge but it does not last long... 152mph and I have to brake :-(
